Ken Carriere is the Executive Director of Human Resources and Fine Arts. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Western State College, Gunnison Colorado and Masters of Education Degree from West Texas A & M University. He began his teaching career in Granada, Colorado, teaching band and general music. After 19 years of teaching Band and Orchestra, Ken began his administrative career at Westover Park Intermediate School as assistant principal, a position he held for three years. He was promoted to principal of Westover Park and helped to facilitate the transition of the campus from a sixth and seventh grade intermediate school to a seventh and eighth grade junior high school. After serving five years in this capacity, Ken was promoted to his current position in July of 2004.
Ken and his wife have called the Amarillo/Canyon area home for 29 years. They have two daughters, both of whom are graduates of CISD and Randall High School.
