Randy McDowell is the Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations. He graduated from West Texas A&M University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Randy began his professional career as an Accountant with Canyon ISD. He later worked for Hereford ISD as the Business Manager, then moved to Region 16 Education Support Center as the School Finance Specialist. As the School Finance Specialist, Randy worked with all schools in the Panhandle on finance and accounting issues. He returned to Canyon ISD in 2005 in his current position.
As Assistant Superintendent, he oversees the areas of finance and budget, maintenance, property services, transportation, food service, and construction.
Randy is a Registered Texas School Business Official, a certification earned through the Texas Association of School Business Officials.
Randy and his wife are both graduates of Canyon ISD and have a daughter who attends school in Canyon ISD.
