It is anticipated that the process will take between 30 and 45 minutes to complete.
You will provide a User ID and select a password, which will allow you to return to the application to make changes or additions. Please be sure to record your User ID and password for your records! .
Please have the following information accessible as you complete this application:
Certification type, level, description; month and year of issue, month and year of expiration if applicable;
Colleges and Universities attended, graduation date, degree earned and major;
Dates of employment for teaching, student teaching and non-teaching experience, name of organization, organization’s address, supervisor’s name, phone number and a brief description of job duties;
If you are in the process of obtaining your Texas Teacher Certification, please select PENDING for certification type.
If you hold a Lifetime Certification, please leave the Expiration date field blank; do not enter Lifetime.
Certain fields have been identified with a red arrow. These fields are required fields and you will not be able to complete or submit the application until each field is completed.
Alternative Certification (including Post Baccalaureate) Applicants: If you plan to obtain your teacher certification through an alternative certification or post baccalaureate program, you must note this information on your application in the Professional Prospective section of the application. Please enter the information in the third box, which requests that you present any additional information, which you have not been able to include elsewhere on the application.

It is recommended that you print a copy of your application.
Once you have submitted your application, you will receive the message that “your application has been successfully transmitted.” If you provided an e-mail address, an e-mail will be sent to that address confirming the receipt of your application.
Thank you for your interest in Canyon ISD. After careful evaluation of all of the applications the District receives, a CISD representative will contact the individuals selected to move forward with a preliminary or campus interview.
Un-submitted applications will be saved in the system for SEVEN days following the last date you logged in. Once the seven days expires, the information in your application will be ERASEDand you will need to enter it again if you wish to submit an application for consideration. Please note: Clicking the SAVE button on the application does not submit the application for you. Please contact the Human Resources Department if you have any trouble submitting your application at HR@canyonisd.net before the seven day expiration.
