From Number Sense to Oral Reading, from Chess Puzzles to Music Memory, students showcased their knowledge, critical thinking, and creativity - empowering lifelong success along the way.
A special congratulations to the students who earned perfect scores in their events:

This event would not be possible without the dedication of so many who helped make it a success. Thank you to our CISD staff members who volunteered as judges and graders, making it a smooth competition. A huge shoutout to Midway Culinary for providing a delicious meal for our sponsors, judges, and volunteers. And a special thanks to Pastor Bradley Speer and Oasis Southwest Baptist Church for welcoming our students and rolling out the red carpet for this event.
We also appreciate the leadership and organization of our Assistant Principals who helped make this event run smoothly:
Jennifer Castillo, West Plains Junior High
Braeanne Cuppell, City View Elementary
Anna Ortega, Hillside Elementary
Mika Ostler, Canyon Junior High
Stacianne Snow, Sundown Lane Elementary
Chris Young, Heritage Hills Elementary
And of course, none of this would happen without the incredible efforts of Ashley Gibbs and Doni O’Dell from the Canyon ISD Curriculum Department - whose passion and expertise make Academic UIL a meaningful experience for our students.
Congratulations to all of our competitors, and thank you to everyone who played a part in making this event a success!
