Canyon ISD Sees Score Increases with Latest TEA Accountability Report

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released its 2024 and 2025 accountability ratings for public school districts across the state. Canyon ISD maintained its overall “B” rating, improving its district performance score from 86 in 2024 to 88 in 2025, reflecting continued academic growth and progress.

The TEA evaluates schools and districts based on a variety of metrics, including academic achievement and growth. This year, Canyon ISD continues to demonstrate its commitment to excellence, with many campuses achieving high performance levels.

Of the 20 campuses rated within Canyon ISD:

  • 8 schools earned an “A” rating, the highest possible designation.

  • 10 schools earned a “B” rating.

  • 2 schools received a “C” rating.

  • 15 campuses raised their performance scores from the previous year.

  • 11 campuses earned distinctions for academic achievement, including placement in the top 25% for academic growth or postsecondary readiness.

Superintendent of Canyon ISD, Dr. Darryl Flusche, expressed pride in the district’s accomplishments:

“These results reflect the dedication of our teachers, staff, students, and families. We are proud to see continued growth and excellence across our campuses, and we remain committed to achieving even higher levels of success moving forward.”
