CISD Family,
The 2025-26 school year is off to a strong start. With more than 11,500 students enrolled, our campuses are full of energy, and the first weeks of school have been successful. I am grateful for the dedication of our staff and the support of our community as we begin another year of empowering lifelong success.
I want to share a few updates with you:
Committees to Join
We have invited parents and community members to sign up to serve on Canyon ISD committees through ParentSquare. These committees give you an important opportunity to share your voice and be part of decisions that guide our district. Click here to find out more.
Accountability Ratings
We are celebrating our state accountability ratings. Our overall district score increased from 86 to 88. Eight campuses earned an “A,” ten earned a “B,” and two received a “C.” Most importantly, 15 campuses improved their scores from last year, many earned distinctions - clear evidence of progress and momentum across CISD.
Summer Projects
Over the summer, we provided professional learning for staff, completed maintenance and safety upgrades at several campuses, as well as welcomed our new employees at our annual luncheon and continued important work on our Strategic Plan. These efforts set the stage for a successful school year.
Strategic Plan
We are now entering Year 2 of our Strategic Plan. In addition to the four focus areas from last year - high-quality instruction and technology, partnerships, resources, staffing and safety. A Year 2 overview is now available on our website, and we look forward to sharing updates with you throughout the year.
