Child is unable to speak and comprehend the English language (school district will test upon enrollment)
Child is eligible for National School Lunch Program – salary below $57,720 (family of 4) – (bring proof of income)
Child is homeless
Child’s parent is a member of the United States Armed Forces on active duty or was injured/killed while on active duty (bring military ID or disability papers)
Child is or has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing under Section 262.201, Family Code – (bring court documents)
Child is a Star of Texas Award Recipient (children of First Responders killed in the line of duty)
